The Heart of the Valley is an 11 community group strategically located in Northeastern Wisconsin on both sides of the Fox River. Geographically it is comfortably an arm’s length away from Green Bay and Appleton yet close to every city convenience. The 41 corridor between Green Bay and Appleton offers an atmosphere that is conducive to a wide variety of industrial and commercial development. With competitively priced, fully improved sites, favorable tax rates, lower utility costs and a reliable work force, the Heart of the Valley area is a good environment for business. The communities of the Heart of the Valley are Buchanan, Combined Locks, Darboy, Freedom, Harrison, Hollandtown, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Sherwood and Wrightstown.

In between meals, quench your thirst and appetite at local pubs, drive-ins, ice cream shops and bakeries, a baker’s outlet, cheese stores and more. So, whether it’s lunch on the run, dinner for two or for hundreds, Heart of the Valley businesses will surely satisfy.
From locally owned specialty shops in quaint downtowns, to nationally recognized chain stores in commercial districts, the Heart of the Valley can meet everyone’s shopping needs. Clothing, jewelry, shoes, gifts, bicycles, hardware and more can be found in the convenient downtown Kaukauna, Freedom and Little Chute retail districts, while several large grocery stores throughout the area offer fresh products that your family will enjoy. Heart of the Valley area shoppers can still buy fresh cheese at one of several cheese factories, or even come across meat and sausage shops where the sausage is homemade and the meat is cut to order.
