The Heart of the Valley Chamber is a resource center that advocates for the business community, connects people and provides educational opportunities for its members. Since 1927 the Heart of The Valley Chamber of Commerce has been contributing to the economic success of our local communities. It is a membership based organization of people who know the wisdom of coordinating their efforts under effective leadership advancement and development of the area. It enables members to accomplish collectively what none could do individually. The Heart of the Valley is strategically located in Northeastern Wisconsin on both sides of the Fox River. Geographically it is located between the two larger communities of Green Bay and Appleton. The communities of the Heart of The Valley are Buchanan, Combined Locks, Darboy, Freedom, Harrison, Hollandtown, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Sherwood and Wrightstown.

Position: Administrative & Membership Assistant

Position Overview

The Administrative and Membership Assistant will play a key role in the daily operations of the Heart of the Chamber office. The position will manage the daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks, membership database and assist with event preparation and member services. 

The position is 24 hours per week – with flexibility. 


  • Bachelor’s or Associated degree in accounting, finance or similar field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in similar position is desirable                                                                                    
  • Proficient in Quick Books
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Outlook                                                                                                 
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently  
  • Exceptional support skills: including the ability to respond to members, internal staff and others in a professional, knowledgeable and friendly manner
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills and the ability to take a proactive, self‐directed approach                                        
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established deadlines
