Graphic Designer

A creative, hard-working graphic designer to join their team part-time, with the possibility of moving to full-time. The right candidate will be well-organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have no less than 2 years professional design experience. He or she will be able to work independently and also with a team, prioritize and multitask. The ideal candidate takes great pride in their work and will strive to make award-winning signs for our customers. A degree in graphic design and experience in Adobe Illustrator are required, experience with Corel Draw and Social Media strongly preferred. POSITION: Reports directly to WHBY/WSCO, WAPL/WZOR, WKSZ/WKZG, Sales Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: People: None other than self. Data: Daily call sheets and updated planners, client files, ratings information, current rate cards and sales support materials and supplies, plus basic knowledge of other Woodward Radio stations. Things: Responsible for individual work area and general upkeep. Computer, telephone, overhead storage, support materials as assigned, and general upkeep or common sales areas including the storage and shut down of computers. Also responsible for purchase of station apparel, upkeep of company vehicles.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall responsibility to represent the company in a professional manner. Build strong relationships with clients through understanding of clients’ business recommending appropriate marketing plans – including schedules, promotions, digital products and suggesting other WCI stations. Responsible for meeting or exceeding all revenue goals through selling/upselling/cross-selling present clients and expanding station revenue base with new prospected accounts. Collections on all marketing plans that are sold.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct yourself with positive, professional, constructive behavior while working with all station personnel and clients. Propose a complete marketing plan to match clients’ needs that includes broadcast, streaming, and web. Meet or exceed all your individual goals for each of these. Display skill in needs analysis, overcoming objections, and closing while always working to establish a relationship with client. Inform clients of station credit/collection policies at time of sale and ensure timely collection of amounts due. Review aging reports monthly to ensure timely collection of monies due., and adhere to any credit terms set up for specific clients, such as cash-in-advance or special credit terms. Service, sell, and upsell clients. Present additional opportunities that include digital products to clients that expand their present advertising investment with the station. Pursue sales to inactive accounts from assigned list and prospect for new unclaimed accounts in the market. Stay informed and up-to-date on market conditions and all competitive media. Recognize and communicate stations position in the advertising market. Educate clients on all available media position in the advertising market. Set performance goals with station sales manager: short, medium, and long range goals must be established. Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including client files, sales activity reports, and daily planning schedules. Maintain a daily planning system, keep record of appointments, future tasks and deadlines, client copy changes, and other pertinent information. Communicate clearly: a) with clients (externally) and b) with management and station departments by following proper channels of communication via voice, written, etc. and c) with co-workers Maintain a neat and professional appearance as defined by the Woodward Radio dress code policy. Assist at large station events throughout the year. Other duties as assigned.

high-level program development, policy research and analysis, advocacy, organizing, negotiations,
communications, organizational leadership, management and fund raising. In the course of this work,

This entry-level position is offered as a part-time job with hours to be 25 to 29 hours a week with some
mandatory nights and weekends.
Major Responsibilities
1. Program Support – Assist the Executive Director in preparing program materials,
updating or creating new and current programs, and other related program activities.
2. Communications Support – Help the Executive Director monitor, prepare and disseminate
written and spoken communications across multiple media for promotion of CBT and
Celebration of Support Events.
3. Administrative Support – Schedule meetings,answer phones, and provide related support to
the Executive Director and office staff.
4. Information Management – Help capture, process, and organize data and tasks to ensure
effective management of programs, volunteers and clients.
College degree or equivalent work experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrated
outstanding academic performance, excellent writing skills and a commitment to positive social change.
Must be highly self-motivated, self-starter, committed, creative, supervise and manage volunteers and
quick to response to rapidly changing demands. Must be highly organized with excellent attention to
detail and follow-through while managing multiple tasks. Must be tech savvy with at least intermediate
computer skills and be comfortable learning new programs. We need a strong team player with good
people skills.
We prefer, but don’t require, some relevant experience with nonprofit organizations, fundraising or
event planning. Highly capable administrative or business skills are also a plus.
Physical requirements include ability to spend hours listening and talking; working via computer,
telephone and other electronic devices; driving frequently to meetings and events; light lifting of
equipment and materials; with occasional nights or weekend work.
